My First Christmas!

Well, first of all let me say choosing what pictures to put on this blog was a very hard decision! We have 154 pictures of Rilee's first Christmas, yes I know that is ridiculous, but it was so much fun I felt like I had to capture every moment! Our Christmas started at Grambo and Big Poppy's the 23rd. We celebrated with Big Poppy's side of the family. Rilee had a lot of fun opening her presents and hanging out with all of her cousins. We finally got all of the great grandchildren together for a picture with Great Busia! Then on Christmas Eve we headed to Great Grandma's for dinner and an enjoyable evening with our extended family on Great Grandma's side. Christmas Day was filled with a lot of gift opening and food! Rilee started by opening presents from Santa. She loved her big learning house. It is really interactive and she can even crawl through it! And since crawling is what she loves to do it was perfect. Way to go Santa! After Rilee opened all of her presents from Santa, mom and dad exchanged presents and mom got a new video camera that can also take regular pictures and can even go under water! Brutus then got to open his presents as well. Rilee decided she really liked the toys Brutus got the best and even teased Brutus with them. We then all packed up and headed to Grambo and Big Poppy's where we exchanged gifts with them, Aunt Ashlee, and Uncle Bill. Rilee got some really cool toys and clothes there as well. Her favorites were a learning kitchen, a stuffed laptop, a stuffed tea set, and her very fashionable boots from Aunt Ashlee and Uncle Bill! Rilee again liked to tease Tucker with his dog toys. We then made stops at Great Aunt Cindy's and Grandpa Pop's. These stops were more presents and food! Rilee had a great time playing with her cousins and her Uncle Nate! Finally on the 26th we went back over to Great Grandma's to exchange gifts with her, Great Aunt Karen and Uncle Don, and Craig, Eric, and Katie. Rilee enjoyed opening presents again there. Mom and Dad had so much fun watching Rilee with all of her new toys and having fun with her family. We can't believe it is already over!

Tub Time!

Up until last night Rilee has still been using her baby tub for bath time. The big tub is just too slippery for her to sit in. Well, while finishing Christmas shopping mom and dad bought Rilee a Disney Princess mat to put in the tub so she could take a "big girl" bath. She loved it! She had room to stretch out and play with her bath toys. The only thing she couldn't figure out was why all of her toys kept floating away. This never happened in her other tub because it was so small.

Rilee is now officially crawling and into everything! She especially likes the computer cords and dad's xbox! She now has 3 teeth in and another 2 coming in. Mom and dad can't wait until Christmas! It will be so fun to see her open presents, well she will probably try to eat the paper more than open the presents, but it will still be fun to watch!

Getting In the Holiday Spirit!

Rilee went and saw Santa last weekend. We took her to Bass Pro Shop. She liked looking at the fish, and of course Santa! She did really well sitting on his lap. Although I think Mom and Dad got more out of it then she did! We are all excited for Christmas. Rilee is getting her top two teeth in, so mom keeps telling her that "all she wants for Christmas is her two front teeth" which she thinks is hilarious!




Last Friday Rilee helped Mom and Dad put up the Christmas tree. She loved looking at the lights and ornaments. She even helped Mom hang her "Baby's First Christmas" ornament. The tree looks great! She also helped Grambo and Big Poppy put up their tree on Sunday.

Happy Turkey Day!

We have two days of Thanksgiving. On Wednesday we went to Grambo and Big Poppy's for dinner. Rilee wore her Turkey Day outfit, with her Thanksgiving bib, turkey hair ribbon, and even her turkey socks! Here's Rilee playing with Big Poppy!

Before we went home Rilee got a bath in Grambo's tub and put her turkey p.j.'s on!

On Thanksgiving Day we made several stops. First we went to Great Aunt Cindy's for dinner. We then went to Grandma Cathy's and finally to Great Aunt Karen's. The pictures below are from Great Aunt Karen's. Rilee got her handmade Christmas Stocking from Ciocia (Great Aunt Judy) It was beautiful! In the picture you can see that Rilee was more interested in eating it, Mommy loved it though, it will look great on our stocking holder for Christmas!

Rilee was also very interested in her shiny pink shoes, in fact she couldn't take her eyes off of them!



Lilli, also got a Christmas Stocking. This is Rilee and Lilli with their stockings on Great Uncle Tim's lap.



Finally, all of Busia's little great grandchildren got together for a picture. The 2 bigger great grandchildren had already left. This is little David, Rilee, Lauren, and Lilli! Cutest bunch of cousins I've ever seen!

6 Month Pictures!

We just got Rilee's 6 month pictures today. They are so cute!!!!!! She is our little model. Sitting Up!

Rilee is sitting up all on her own! Now, of course she never wants to lay down, which makes getting things done around the house tricky for mom and dad. But, both mom and dad love seeing Rilee getting bigger and enjoying her independence!

Happy Halloween

Rilee, being the spoiled little girl that she is, had 3 Halloween outfits (not including her costume). She wore her first outfit on October 29th. This was her day to spend with Dad while Mom was at work. Rilee and Dad visited Big Poppy and fixed his computer. They also just hung out at home. Rilee is such a Daddy's girl. She lights up when he walks in the room!






Rilee wore her second Halloween outfit on October 30th which was her day to spend with Mom while Dad was at work. Rilee and Mom went shopping and out to lunch with Grambo and Great Grandma.






Rilee wore her third Halloween outfit(right on Halloween) to church and then out to breakfast!




Rilee was a pink fluffy bunny for Halloween. She went around "trick-or-treating" to her Great Grandma's, Great Busia's, and several of her Great Aunt and Uncle's. Rilee then sat on Mom's lap while Dad passed out candy to all of the trick-or-treaters. Grambo, Aunt Ashlee, Uncle Bill, Great Aunt Cindy, Cousin Ashley, Uncle Nate, the Malathongs, and the Rollins all joined us to pass out treats this year. We sat around a fire and enjoyed watching all of the kids in their costumes. It was a lot of fun and Rilee really enjoyed herself!






After about an hour and a half in her costume, Rilee wanted to change into something comfortable! Here she is at the end of passing out candy all bundled up in mom's arms!



Rilee is growing up so fast! She has now tried squash, carrots, and sweet potatoes! She is extremely close to sitting up. Rilee can sit without support for a couple of minutes, but then falls over. She loves her activity jumper and tried her jenny jump up for the first time about a week ago. Her Mom and Dad are having a ton of fun watching her grow!

Busy Weekend

Last weekend we were all very busy! On Saturday we went to Great Grandma's for Grambo and Big Poppy's birthdays. Rilee wore her OSU gear to support the Buckeyes! Then on Sunday we went to the applebutter festival. Rilee really enjoyed watching all of the people from mom's belly (in her carrier). She sported her sun hat and sunglasses. It was a beautiful day and got up to around 85 degrees.
Rilee is getting so big! She is getting really close to sitting up on her own! She has her two bottom front teeth, and she tried squash (her first "real food"). Her mom and dad can't believe how fast she is growing. She is extremely alert and loves to just sit and check everything out. Rilee is getting ready for Halloween and can't wait to show off her costume!
