Happy Valentine's day

Rilee had a great first Valentine's Day. On Sunday she wore her first Valentine's day outfit to church and out to breakfast with Grambo, Big Poppy, and Great Grandma. After breakfast Rilee helped Mommy make an eclair cake for Daddy. When Daddy got home we all went to dinner! On Monday Rilee wore her second Valentine's outfit to hang around the house.
Rilee had her 9 month check up last week. She weighed in at 16 pounds 5 ounces and was 28 inches long. Her doctor thought she looked great! He was pleasantly surprised to hear that she was already cruising on the furniture. She has 8 teeth, 4 on top and 4 on the bottom. Rilee is very curious about everything, which is a nice way of saying she is into everything! Mom and Dad never get a break! But, we are loving every minute!

Aunt Ashlee and Uncle Bill's New House

Aunt Ashlee and Uncle Bill bought a new house and Rilee really enjoyed hanging out over there and checking the place out. Aunt Ashlee had her "pretties" (necklaces) laying on the floor in the living room and Rilee just had to put one on. She looks so pretty with her pearls. Rilee and Dad had fun looking out the big front window and playing on the floor. Rilee even found an old Eagles jersey that she decided she must put on. Our future Clay Eagle!
Rilee is cruising around the furniture and getting even more teeth. She will have 8 once the new ones come in! Mom and Dad are having so much fun playing with Rilee, even though she totally wears them out. She never stops! She definitely has Dad's energy and need to constantly be moving!

Out of Contol

Well, it has been a little bit since my last post, so I thought I would include a lot of pictures of what Rilee has been up to. Rilee is crawling like a maniac! She is OUT OF CONTROL! She is into everything, and her favorite "toy" is Brutus. Rilee is pulling herself up on anything that will support her, and poor Brutus, because he is her favorite thing to pull herself up on. Mom and Dad have had to move picture frames out of her reach and hide wires. Brutus tries to hide by sitting on the couch, but you will see in one of the pictures that Rilee still tries to get after him. Mom and Dad are so glad that Brutus is such a good dog and just lets Rilee bully him! The last picture is of Rilee with her friend, Shane, who came over last Friday. They both had fun checking each other out! Brutus was glad Rilee had someone else to play with.

My First Christmas!

Well, first of all let me say choosing what pictures to put on this blog was a very hard decision! We have 154 pictures of Rilee's first Christmas, yes I know that is ridiculous, but it was so much fun I felt like I had to capture every moment! Our Christmas started at Grambo and Big Poppy's the 23rd. We celebrated with Big Poppy's side of the family. Rilee had a lot of fun opening her presents and hanging out with all of her cousins. We finally got all of the great grandchildren together for a picture with Great Busia! Then on Christmas Eve we headed to Great Grandma's for dinner and an enjoyable evening with our extended family on Great Grandma's side. Christmas Day was filled with a lot of gift opening and food! Rilee started by opening presents from Santa. She loved her big learning house. It is really interactive and she can even crawl through it! And since crawling is what she loves to do it was perfect. Way to go Santa! After Rilee opened all of her presents from Santa, mom and dad exchanged presents and mom got a new video camera that can also take regular pictures and can even go under water! Brutus then got to open his presents as well. Rilee decided she really liked the toys Brutus got the best and even teased Brutus with them. We then all packed up and headed to Grambo and Big Poppy's where we exchanged gifts with them, Aunt Ashlee, and Uncle Bill. Rilee got some really cool toys and clothes there as well. Her favorites were a learning kitchen, a stuffed laptop, a stuffed tea set, and her very fashionable boots from Aunt Ashlee and Uncle Bill! Rilee again liked to tease Tucker with his dog toys. We then made stops at Great Aunt Cindy's and Grandpa Pop's. These stops were more presents and food! Rilee had a great time playing with her cousins and her Uncle Nate! Finally on the 26th we went back over to Great Grandma's to exchange gifts with her, Great Aunt Karen and Uncle Don, and Craig, Eric, and Katie. Rilee enjoyed opening presents again there. Mom and Dad had so much fun watching Rilee with all of her new toys and having fun with her family. We can't believe it is already over!

Tub Time!

Up until last night Rilee has still been using her baby tub for bath time. The big tub is just too slippery for her to sit in. Well, while finishing Christmas shopping mom and dad bought Rilee a Disney Princess mat to put in the tub so she could take a "big girl" bath. She loved it! She had room to stretch out and play with her bath toys. The only thing she couldn't figure out was why all of her toys kept floating away. This never happened in her other tub because it was so small.

Rilee is now officially crawling and into everything! She especially likes the computer cords and dad's xbox! She now has 3 teeth in and another 2 coming in. Mom and dad can't wait until Christmas! It will be so fun to see her open presents, well she will probably try to eat the paper more than open the presents, but it will still be fun to watch!

Getting In the Holiday Spirit!

Rilee went and saw Santa last weekend. We took her to Bass Pro Shop. She liked looking at the fish, and of course Santa! She did really well sitting on his lap. Although I think Mom and Dad got more out of it then she did! We are all excited for Christmas. Rilee is getting her top two teeth in, so mom keeps telling her that "all she wants for Christmas is her two front teeth" which she thinks is hilarious!




Last Friday Rilee helped Mom and Dad put up the Christmas tree. She loved looking at the lights and ornaments. She even helped Mom hang her "Baby's First Christmas" ornament. The tree looks great! She also helped Grambo and Big Poppy put up their tree on Sunday.
