Our Little Pumpkin

To end a very long and stressful work week, Chuck and I decided to take Rilee to the pumpkin farm for the first time to pick her pumpkin. It was a beautiful day and we had a great time! Grambo, Big Poppy, and Aunt Ashlee all met us there. Rilee, of course, picked the pumpkin with the most knots on it. You can see her admiring it in some of the pictures. Rilee was a really good girl. She even got to meet some goats, chickens, and another baby her own age! Brutus even got to go! He loved it just as much as Rilee did. All in all we all had a great time! Rilee can't wait to carve her pumpkin and pass out candy in her Halloween costume...check back to find out what she is going to be!

My Feet!

Rilee has discovered her feet! She can't put them down. It has made diaper changes and dressing her a little difficult!
Rilee went to her 4 month doctors appointment at the beginning of the month. She weighs 12 pounds 3 ounces and is 24 3/4 inches long!
She is also getting her first tooth! Her Mom and Dad can't believe how fast she is growing!

3 month pictures

Rilee had her 3 month pictures taken at the beginning of the month. They are finally posted to the photographers website. They are beautiful! When you reach the site scroll towards the bottom of the page until you see Rilee's picture and the letter R. The website is www.whitedaisy.zenfolio.com Enjoy!

Getting so BIG!

I know it has been awhile since I posted anything, but we have been really busy! I am back to school so finding time to update Rilee's blog has been difficult. I have included several pictures to show how big she has gotten since my last post. The first two pictures show her enjoying her tummy time. Even Brutus gets in on the fun. The next picture is of her sitting on mom's lap while dad takes the picture. She loves to just sit and look around. Then there is a picture of her playing in her play gym/jumper. Finally, there is a picture of her in her Bumbo.

Berlin

On Tuesday we drove 3 hours to Berlin Ohio. My parents ordered a computer desk that had to be picked up. They invited Rilee and I to go with them. There is other craft shopping there and a great place to eat. So, after a lot of contemplation, I decided we would go. I was very nervous about the 3 hour car ride, but Rilee did great! She slept the whole way there and half of the way home. She enjoyed shopping and was a good girl at dinner. We did have a major diaper explosion at dinner that required a clothes change for Rilee as well as me! Luckily I brought an extra outfit for her and I had on 2 tank tops so I could remove the outer one! All in all it was a good day.

Rilee and Lilliann

On Monday we went to my Aunt Karen's (my dad's sister) for a cookout. My cousin, Emily, was in town from Missouri so we all wanted a chance to see her. At the cookout Rilee got to meet her new baby cousin Lilliann that was born July 19. They are 11 weeks apart so holidays should be a blast in the upcoming years! The first picture is of the grandmas. My mom is holding Lilliann and my Aunt Karen (Lilliann's grandma) is holding Rilee. We even posed the girls together, although neither one of them liked it very much. Great Busia wanted to make sure she got a picture with both of her great granddaughters. While that picture was being taken we realized we had all but one of the girl cousins together, which almost never happens, so we captured the rare moment. It was a fun evening and Rilee and I enjoyed ourselves very much!

The Newest Members Of The WOLFPACK

Chuck and I had our friends Shane and Shavon and their little boy Shane II over for dinner yesterday. Chuck's brother Nate, his girlfriend Vita and her little boy Sammy also came over. Rilee really enjoyed having another baby in the house. Her and little Shane cried back and forth to each other like they were talking. I also really enjoyed having another new mom to talk to. It was nice to realize we had the same fears and difficulties, like trimming nails...SCARY!

For those of you that are not familiar with the Wolfpack here is a little background. Chuck calls his employees the Wolfpack. When he worked at Staples they had an exceptional team so the Wolfpack was known throughout the company. Four of the members of the Wolfpack became close friends, and although they are now located all over the country they still remain close. All four of them even wear armbands that say Wolfpack. There is Chuck, Shane (Michigan), Chris (Kentucky), and Jeff (Florida). Two of the members of the Wolfpack have had children in the last couple of months. Rilee came in May and Shane II in June. Yesterday was the first time that the 2 babies met. So, I had onesies made to welcome them to the Wolfpack. We even had them pose for pictures. Rilee is the only female member of the Wolfpack, she is very honored!
