"Helping" Mom Clean

Mom has been on spring break the past week, so her and Rilee have been able to hang out all week! Unfortuntaly, Grambo and Aunt Ashlee had different spring breaks this year so all the girls couldn't do anything together. The weather was pretty bad too, so Mom and Rilee couldn't even go for a walk. So, instead of being able to enjoy being outside Rilee and Mom found things to keep them busy around the house. The last thing on Mom's list was to clean the house, so yesterday Rilee "helped" Mom with the cleaning.
The first picture shows what Rilee was up to in her room while Mom cleaned out the hall closet. Then Rilee helped Mom dust the living room and put the pictures back on the end tables. While Mom moved into the next room Rilee decided she needed some paper towels! Finally, Rilee and Mom moved to the kitchen. Rilee sat in her high chair and snacked on some cheerios and carrot wheels. Mom turned for just a second and when she turned back Rilee had decided to take a nap right in her high chair. I guess all of that cleaning really wore her out!







Rilee is now 11 months old! She took her first steps about 2 weeks ago and is now able to walk across the living room! She gets more stable and goes farther everyday. Rilee is also getting her ninth tooth! She can clap her hands and loves to "read" her books! Mom and Dad can't believe that in less than a month our little baby girl will be 1 year old!

Friends

Rilee had a very busy Friday! First, she started out hanging out with Dad and Brutus. Rilee loves to walk along the furniture and eat cheerios! Rilee has now realized that she can feed her best friend Brutus too. So, Rilee eats a cheerio and then Brutus gets one! Then, Friday evening Mom and Dad had their friends over and they brought their son Shane. Rilee was very excited to have someone her age to play with. They got along great and played for a couple of hours. Rilee really enjoyed having Shane over and can't wait for him to come again!

Happy St. Patrick's Day

Rilee was the cutest little leprechaun on St. Patrick's Day! She enjoyed hanging out at home for most of the day. It was almost 70 degrees out so when Mom got home from school Grambo and Aunt Ashlee met at our house and we all went for a long walk. I'm not sure who enjoyed it more Rilee or Brutus! When Dad got home from work we then went out to dinner with Grambo and Big Poppy.
Rilee is getting very close to taking her first steps. She stands alone and walks behind her walker.

Hats Off to Great Aunt Kristie!

Last week Rilee got a surprise gift in the mail from Great Aunt Kristie, who lives in Missouri. When she opened it she was very excited to see two handmade knitted hats! Not only were these hats made with love, but they matched two of Rilee's favorite outfits perfectly! She was very excited to show them off!
Rilee and mom are feeling much better this week! They both had a bad cough and stuffy nose. Now that Rilee is back to her old self she has started to walk behind a walker. She thinks she is a real big shot when she does it and laughs the whole time! Mom and dad can't believe how fast she is growing up!

Happy Valentine's day

Rilee had a great first Valentine's Day. On Sunday she wore her first Valentine's day outfit to church and out to breakfast with Grambo, Big Poppy, and Great Grandma. After breakfast Rilee helped Mommy make an eclair cake for Daddy. When Daddy got home we all went to dinner! On Monday Rilee wore her second Valentine's outfit to hang around the house.
Rilee had her 9 month check up last week. She weighed in at 16 pounds 5 ounces and was 28 inches long. Her doctor thought she looked great! He was pleasantly surprised to hear that she was already cruising on the furniture. She has 8 teeth, 4 on top and 4 on the bottom. Rilee is very curious about everything, which is a nice way of saying she is into everything! Mom and Dad never get a break! But, we are loving every minute!

Aunt Ashlee and Uncle Bill's New House

Aunt Ashlee and Uncle Bill bought a new house and Rilee really enjoyed hanging out over there and checking the place out. Aunt Ashlee had her "pretties" (necklaces) laying on the floor in the living room and Rilee just had to put one on. She looks so pretty with her pearls. Rilee and Dad had fun looking out the big front window and playing on the floor. Rilee even found an old Eagles jersey that she decided she must put on. Our future Clay Eagle!
Rilee is cruising around the furniture and getting even more teeth. She will have 8 once the new ones come in! Mom and Dad are having so much fun playing with Rilee, even though she totally wears them out. She never stops! She definitely has Dad's energy and need to constantly be moving!
