Getting All Caught Up

It has been awhile since Mommy posted anything about me. She is back to work and has less time to "blog." Here are some pictures of what I have been up to the past couple of weeks. I had my 15 month check up at the end of August and I weighed 20 pounds and was 31 inches long! I am learning new words everyday. I also know a lot of animal sounds like the elephant, which is my favorite. Since the elephant is my favorite animal that is what I am going to be for Halloween (Stay tuned for pictures). I can also tell you what daddy's car says (vroom vroom). I hope you enjoy my pictures.

Great Grandma's Birthday
Last Saturday we went over to Great Aunt Karen's for Great Grandma's birthday. I loved Great Aunt Karen's piano. I also loved playing with Craig and Eric's bucket of animals that they played with when they were little.

Mommy's Last Days of Summer

Mommy had to go back to work this week, so last week we took advantage of Mommy and Daddy's mutual days off and went to the park and to the zoo. Rilee loved Daddy's superman ice cream and going down the big slides all by herself. She also loved the train at the zoo.

Camping at Mohican

We went to stay with Grambo and Big Poppy at Mohican State Park for a couple of days. Rilee loved swimming in the pool and playing in the river with the dogs.









Rilee enjoyed a lot of walks with her sunglasses on! She thinks she is hot stuff with her shades on! Before we went swimming we let Rilee go crazy with a piece of watermelon. She loved eating it without a fork! We then headed to the pool. Rilee loves jumping off of the side of the pool and letting Daddy throw her up high in the air. We then took the dogs to the river. Rilee took a ride on Brutus to get her out of the water.








I know it is hard to believe, but Rilee IS wearing a Notre Dame shirt. A couple of weeks before we left for Mohican Rilee got a surprise in the mail. Great Aunt Judy sent Rilee a Notre Dame shirt. Aunt Judy has been the only ND fan in the family for a long time, then Uncle Bill came along. Great Aunt Judy figures while Rilee is young she can try to get her to cheer for ND so she sent her the shirt. Rilee loved wearing the shirt. It is still a little big so she got to wear it with only a diaper! She helped Grambo cook dinner with the shirt on and even got to wear it home. Once we got home she played some games with Dad. Daddy turned around and found Rilee sound asleep in the chair, so she even got to sleep in her ND shirt. I don't know, it kind of seems like Great Aunt Judy might be swaying Rilee to cheer for the Fighting Irish. I'm sure Uncle Bill would be happy too.

First Hair Cut and Camping at Kelley's Island

Here are some pictures of Rilee getting her hair cut for the first time. She did a really good job of sitting still and behaving herself!






Kelley's Island
We went camping at Kelley's Island from Friday July 8th to Thursday July 14th. Rilee was such a good girl! She really loved being with her whole family. Mommy and Daddy were way more tired then she was by the end of the week. Rilee NEVER stops moving and it was very hard to "contain" her while camping so we all took turns chasing her around the campground.

Grambo and Big Poppy bought Rilee a bike seat that went on Grambo's bike. Rilee loved going on bike rides with the whole family!





Daddy took Rilee to the playground while Mommy helped with dishes and they came back looking "Ghetto Fabulous."





Daddy went fishing on the pier so Rilee brought her chalk and we chalked the pier. Rilee was covered in chalk by the time we were done so it was a good thing she had not had her bath for the night yet!

Rilee discovered that she can walk Brutus! Rilee got to go for a boat ride this year! She didn't love it, but she didn't hate it either. Rilee helped Big Poppy drive the boat and even got to go swimming off the boat. Mommy's camera died when she was driving the boat and swimming, so unfortunately I don't have any pictures to show. Grambo got pictures on her camera though! Rilee did really well in the lake when she was swimming off of the boat even though Grambo was having a nervous breakdown the whole time! Rilee wasn't really sure about the lake and the beach to begin with, but she warmed up to them quickly. She loved floating on the raft with Daddy and digging in the sand on the beach!

Daddy's Vacation

Daddy was on vacation all last week! We were very busy and loved having Daddy home! Here are some of the highlights of the week:

Cookout
Mommy and Daddy had a cookout and invited Little Shane over (oh yeah and his parents too)! Rilee and Shane played all day. They went on several walks, looked out the front door, and played with Rilee's toys! They even took a bath together (Mommy thinks those pictures might come back to haunt them when they get older!)






Craig's Graduation Party
We spent the day celebrating Craig's college graduation. Rilee enjoyed playing corn hole, relaxing on the hammock, and swining on the swing. It was a great day!






The Zoo
We took Rilee to the zoo for the first time! She loved the seals and the giraffes! We also got to see the new baby elephant. He was so cute! Rilee didn't make it all the way through the zoo the first time, so we went back to see the monkeys and the aquarium a couple of days later.







Maumee Bay
Grambo and Big Poppy spent the week camping at Maumee Bay. We went out there several times. Rilee loved playing on the corn hole boards and the swingset. She even spent the night with Grambo and Big Poppy in the camper! Mommy and Daddy can't wait to take Rilee camping at Kelley's Island in July.










Fish Fry at Grambo and Big Poppy's Camper
On Saturday Grambo and Big Poppy had a fish fry at their camper at Maumee Bay. We all had a lot of fun! We tried out Rilee's play yard (she was only happy with Mommy and Daddy in the play yard too). Rilee loved going for a walk to the park and sliding down the big slide!






Cookout at Grandpa Pops'
On Father's Day we went over to Grandpa Pops' for a cookout. Rilee wanted to play in some buckets of water so Mommy put her in her bathing suit and swim diaper. After about an hour she had barely even touched the water so Mommy changed her back into her clothes. This of course was when she decided she needed to sit in the bucket of water and dump the water all over herself. By the time she was done her clothes were soaked and her diaper was huge! She had a great time though!
